This week, we had an unusual visitor at KDNA—the Rolls-Royce 747 Testbed. It was incredibly exciting to see this amazing flying machine performing touch-and-goes at our airport. Definitely not something we see every day!
This particular Boeing 747-200 is owned by Rolls-Royce and is used as a flying test bed to evaluate their engines for performance, efficiency, and reliability. Based out of Tucson, Arizona, the aircraft is currently conducting tests using sustainable aviation fuel.
